Ur samlingen (From the Collection)

In this exhibition, we present a selection from our extensive art collection, organised around a series of themes. Through a spirit of curiosity and critical enquiry, the exhibition explores the collection while bringing both celebrated and lesser-known artists into focus. It seeks to pose open-ended questions: is this art, or merely something visually remarkable? Are there affinities between art and science? How have artists portrayed Halland, and who has collected what — and why?
At regular intervals, works in one of the galleries are replaced. The most recent presentation explores spirituality, bringing works of art into dialogue with objects from our cultural history collection.
Visitors are offered a unique opportunity to experience the full breadth of the visual arts. The exhibition includes painting, sculpture, photography and installations, spanning from the nineteenth century to the present day.
