Markings – 10 years with Art Inside Out

Art Inside Out celebrates ten years as a platform for artistic practice. Markings – 10 Years with Art Inside Out traces a decade of artistic work, bringing together around twenty artists working across installation, video, painting, performance, sound and text.

Invited by Art Inside Out, the participating artists have taken part in residency programmes across Halland. Here, they have worked through open-ended and exploratory processes, creating new works through encounters with local residents, places, histories and lived experiences, in both urban and rural settings. The exhibition embraces questions of belonging and estrangement, of what home is and what it can become, and of art’s imprint on changing urban landscapes. It also explores fragile ecological relationships, the traces of memory etched into the landscape, and the more-than-human world.

To mark this anniversary, the exhibition is presented at Hallands Konstmuseum (Halland Art Museum) – a place for the whole of Halland and a natural meeting point for the region’s artistic community.
