The World’s Best Books for Children and Young People – the 2024 IBBY Honour List

IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) is a worldwide non-profit that supports the dissemination of good literature for children and young people throughout the world. Every other year, about eighty member countries select their best books, and these are presented in the IBBY Honour List catalogue in conjunction with the IBBY world congress. Now IBBY’s selections will be presented in an exhibition in Sweden comprising 184 titles from all over the world. It’s a deep dive into the magical, visual world of storytelling!

The exhibition is arranged in collaboration with the Halland Region and IBBY, and it is part of the Halland Region’s investment in creating an international stage for children’s and youth literature.

Also on view in conjunction with the exhibition will be illustrations for children’s books by Gösta Adrian-Nilsson and Kristina Digman from Hallands Konstmuseum’s collection.
